Joyetech Elitar Pipe
This week I am taking a look at the Joyetech Elitar Pipe, a pipe shaped tube kit from Joyetech.
The Joyetech Elitar Pipe comes in a neat cardboard box, with the product clearly pictured.
Inside we find our Joyetech Elitar Pipe, including the Elitar atomiser.
The kit also has a USB charging (and firmware update) cable, and two coil heads (one stainless steel coiled 0.5ohm for temperature controlled vaping and one 1.5ohm regular coil).
The Joyetech Elitar Pipe comes with a wealth of documentation. Individual user guides for the Joyetech Elitar Pipe and atomiser, a warning card, warranty card and coil selection guidance card.
Here we have the main parts for the Joyetech Elitar Pipe kit. The coil head, atomiser and device itself.
Let’s take a quick look at the atomiser first.
It is basically the same design as all the recent Joyetech ‘Cubis’ tanks. Same coil heads are used and the tank, although smaller, operates the same way.
You can open the tank by unscrewing the top half to insert a coil head.
You also have the same top down air flow, with a rotating collar for air flow control.
Unscrewing the very top cover allows for easy liquid filling.
The Joyetech Elitar Pipe device has a self adjusting brass positive pin, there is no reason why you could not use any atomiser on this device.
And here is the device complete with the atomiser installed. A quite distinct pipe shape and layout.
The screen is located where you would normally find the ‘bowl’ of a pipe, along with the menu up and down rocker button.
The black section shown to the right of the screen is the fire button, located in a place where a pipe smoker might naturally place their thumb.
Here, in the side view, we can see the pipe-like profile of the Joyetech Elitar Pipe.
The battery cover is on the underside of the device, it has a single neodymium magnet at the sceeen end and a pair of protruding lugs at the other that locate and hold the cover in place.
The battery tray has a sprung negative and fixed positive terminal and take a single 18650 battery.
Once installed the device will power up and the screen will display the relevant information. Under the bright lights of my photo shoot bay it is visible but not all that bright, under regular lighting it is far more clear.
So, a few specs for the Joyetech Elitar Pipe.
The atomiser is basically the same idea as the other BF coil head atomisers that Joyetech has released (such as the Cubis, EGrip2 etc.).
It has a 2.0ml e-liquid capacity and a 22mm diameter.
The Elitar Pipe device has the following specs:-
Size: 38 x 147.5 x 36.5mm
Output modes: VW/TC(Ti, Ni, SS316)/Bypass/TCR(M1, M2, M3)
Output Wattage: 1-75W
Resistance Range: 0.05-1.5ohm for TC/TCR mode, 0.1-3.5ohm for VW/Bypass mode
Temperature Range: 100-315°C/ 200-600°F
Colours: Gold, Grey, Black, White, Wood effect.
Joyetech has proven themselves with this series of technology in the past, the BF series atomisers and the single battery current TC circuity works well and has a good history in devices like the eGrip2 and eGo AIO etc..
The atomisers give good vapour and good flavour, the devices give good power output and good temperature control.
If you like the previous devices that use this technology then you won’t be disappointed with how well the Joyetech Elitar Pipe works for you.
I have to say though, I am a little confused by the idea of a electronic e-pipe as a concept.
As someone that has smoked for many years (in the past) and has used a pipe I don’t understand the concept of an e-pipe except maybe aesthetically
That said, it is a good device and it works very well.
Joyetech hasn’t posted the official suggested retail prices yet but I am seeing these at pre-order for $50. As always shop around for the best price.
